I wanted to take today (the OFFICIAL LAUNCH DAY FOR HOUND AND OTIS) to honor one of our first ever clients, and explore the luxury business card design we created together.

After going through J.Ashley Innovations brand and website design process, Emily (of Emily Veinberg Photography) was ready to put her shiny new brand on paper through a new, luxury business card design.

Take one second to scroll through Emily’s website and you’ll immediately pick-up the soft feminine, unique but classic luxury vibes. Bringing these elements into a business card was so fun!

To accurately mirror her brand in her cards, we wanted to utilize elements including:

• a unique shape
• an extra thick paper with a soft surface
• a pattern version of the EVP signature floral design
• a variable element to ensure each receiving the card feels that it was made specifically for them.

From there, we started with concept art:

It’s hard to capture in a mock-up, but one of my absolute favorite parts of this design is a specialty raised gloss varnish that provides extra visual interest and contrast between the background color and paper, and the floral design itself.
